ITALIAN FOOD ISN'T ITALIAN

Italian Food is based on Chinese Noodles and American Tomatos. Tomatos didn't exist in the Old World until they were brought back from the New World.

Columbus changed the course of Italian food by discovering America. Prior to Columbus, there were no tomato sauces in Italian food. There was no gnochi (based on another New World vegatable, the potato).

And Noodles themselves, were introduced to Italy by Marco Polo - one of his discoveries on his trip to china. All Italian noodles began as derivatives of Chinese noodles.
