CRISPUS ATTUCKS - AMERICAN FOUNDING FATHER, FIRST DEATH OF THE REVOLUTION

Crispus Attucks was the first man to die in the Boston Tea Party. He was a freed black slave from Africa. In 1770, Crispus Attucks, a black man, became the first casualty of the American Revolution when he was shot and killed in what became known as the Boston Massacre which kicked off the Boston Tea Party and the Revolutionary War.

Attucks was a true Founding Father - an educated man who actively argued for the abolishment of slavery.

Crispus was a free man who had been born in Africa and learned English. He was a Rosicrucian who hung out in the same circles as the rest of the Founding Fathers - he was good friends with Benjamin Franklin.

Crispus Attucks was the first of the Founding Fathers to be killed by the Masons - he was targeted because he was attacking the institution of Slavery and because he was an easier target being a freed slave.
